Warrior

The kids really love to do Yoga Meltdown by Jillian Michaels with me. Emma really loves the warrior pose, push-ups and the balance poses.  Maddie enjoys sun salutations, and all the components of them.

Briggs does a few moves and then uses all of us as his own personal obstacle course. Adds a whole new dynamic to it.

Look who is smiling!

We had a fun and silly morning.  Briggs,  Maddie and I were laughing so hard,  and before we knew it,  Anderson was grinning from ear to ear.  So sweet!

Looking for some peace and quiet?

I noticed Emma circling slowly around our driveway on this trike, when I looked again I realized it was because she was reading as she rode.

Briggs 'n Boots

Briggs loves these boots.  He wears them any chance he can lately.  With shorts, jeans, sweats, pajamas, to church, etc.  But I did have a good laugh when he walked out of his bedroom one morning with them on over his zip-up football pajamas.  Did he sleep in them?!  I don't even know!  But doesn't he rock this look?

Oh, look!  Does he have his boots on again?  Imagine that! ; )  I heard him crying in the front yard so I went out to check on him and he was waddling down the sidewalk with the doll stroller buckled around his thighs.  He apparently decided to ride in it, buckled himself and then couldn't figure out how to unbuckle so he had a stroller essentially attached to his bum.  Too funny!

Whoa!

I walked through my bedroom and passed by the bassinet and saw this...

It caught me off guard, but especially since Anderson was napping and so I thought he should be in there!  I forgot he was napping in Briggs room for the first time.

August

This week...

Life is good!

First primary presidency meeting.

No flu this week.  (Or cold or cough, etc.)  *knock on wood!*

More Girl's Camp prep.  It is next week!

My first run after having Anderson.  2 miles without walking a step!  And then I hurried home since someone thought they were hungry. :)

A successful giant fruit pizza for Young Women's, a not-as-successful banana cream pie.  (The flavor was great, the custard just didn't set up right)

My first trip to the store with all four kids.  They were so good!

Fun family reunion in which we pulled off a cute skit thanks to all of mom and dad's hard work.  I only gave them an idea, they made it happen.

Only one slightly sleepless night until I figured out (after almost 24 hours of mild fussiness) that Anderson just needed some gripe water.

More yard projects, this time involving curbing and a sod cutter from our neighbor.

One fun date night with Jared. (And Anders, but he pretty much slept the whole time because of  the gripe water.)

First Sunday trying to balance Primary and Young Women's.  I think it went really well, though.

Our first Sunday going completely snack and toy free during Sacrament Meeting.  Only coloring allowed.  The kids did really well!

A last minute visit from Eric, Katie and their girls that made Emma and Maddie's day.  And mine, too, of course!!
