We are having a....
I thought about dragging this out so you all had to read through a ton of stuff before I actually told you what the baby is, but that is too cruel... I'm not very patient myself, so I couldn't do it.
We are having a GIRL!!! We are very excited! It is nice to that I no longer have to refer to her as "it", and everything seems more real now. Once again, she bounced around like crazy during the entire ultrasound and had the ultrasound tech laughing because it was really hard to take any decent pictures. Every time she was in line for a picture, she would bolt. The ultrasound tech thought it was amazing that I sleep at all! The other thing was that she kept her hands up in front of her face so it was hard to get a good picture of her face, too. Maybe she is shy, but I think stubborn is more like it! Oh, and we plan on naming her Emma! Anyway, we are very excited and can't wait until she is here!

Things I Love About Fall!
1. The smells. Homemade soup, donuts and pumpkin cookies, some of the fall comfort foods/smells of my childhood. They really take me somewhere else when I smell them. I also love the smell of the air and love taking deep breaths of the crisp fall air.
2. The colors. I love it when everything is pretty and green, but when the leaves are changing in the fall and the sun is warm, not bright, there is a special, beautiful glow everywhere.
3. The sounds. Kids laughing on the playground at school. The crunch of the leaves as I walk, the different songs the birds sing in the fall, and my favorite- when there is a light breeze that makes all the leaves on the trees flutter.
4. The holidays. Or at least the approach of them. I have always liked Halloween because my birthday is just a few days after it, but I also love the warm feeling as Thanksgiving and Christmas approach that I start getting. Apparently I catch the Christmas Spirit in September/October every year. I just love it!
5. General Conference. It is such a constant. It doesn't matter where we are or who we are with. Everything stops for those 8 hours and we get to feel that peace and security and Spirit. This year was no exception.
6. The warmth. I honestly like nothing better than waking up a little bit before my alarm goes off (or hitting the snooze button) and dozing under a nice warm comforter while the sound of the air from the furnace lulls me back to sleep. I also love to feel the warmth of the sun on my face in the fall becuase it isn't hot, just warm. There are very few things that feel as nice as going from the cool air outside to a nice warm house. Or vice versa sometimes. I think I just like the contrast.
Well, there are so many more, but these are the best! I really do love fall!
