Right Place

You know those moments when you just know that you are in the right place at the right time doing exactly what you are supposed to be doing?  I've been having a lot of those lately.  I'm so grateful for them, because in the midst of uncertainty about friends or family relationships that are hard, financial choices that are tough, the constant balancing act, the never-ending question of the best way to spend my time, or even just the day to day monotony of dishes and laundry, I KNOW I am where I am supposed to be.

I am so grateful that for this small season of my life, I get to spend time with and learn from 4 of the strongest, most courageous, most spiritual, most loving, most humble, most energetic spirits that exist.  The other day I was specifically reminded that although they are in children's bodies, their spirits are much more.  "Wherefore be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work.  And out of small things proceedeth that which is great."  (D&C 64:33)

In my "4 minute life", this is maybe 1 minute, probably more like 15 seconds when they are home with me daily.  You couldn't pay me enough to change my career at the moment.  I'm grateful and happy to have my "quiver full".  (Psalms 127:3-5)

First haircut

Well, first real haircut. I have trimmed it a little bit here and there, but Jared used his mad hair cutting skills this weekend and cut his own hair, as well as Briggs' and Anderson's. They were both so good. Briggs used to scream and throw a fit, but he just quietly sits now. Anderson was good, but wanted to see the clippers. Or the scissors. Or the comb. Needless to say, he was a little wiggly.
