The other thing I have been trying to figure out is meals for Emma. If anyone has some good, kid-friendly meal ideas, please share! I also know that I should be encouraging her to learn to eat with a spoon and drink out of a cup more on her own, but sometimes I'm too lazy since it is SO messy. The other day Jared handed her the spoon and the rest of the yogurt and we just let her go to town. WOW. I think she got a little bit in her mouth when she licked her fingers. Maybe. So if anyone has some tricks or tips to help with that, they would be much appreciated, too!

Figuring things out
I love that Emma's hair is growing, I really do. But sometimes I'm just not sure what to do with it! She hasn't left headbands in for months, and has recently discovered the barretts on the side and pops them into her mouth. We do the ponytail on top of the head if anything. Any suggestions? I also wanted to share a picture of how awesome her hair looks AFTER the hair elastic is taken out of her hair- cute, huh?

Tyson chicken nuggets are my sanity saver. If we're having something not-so-kid-friendly, I just microwave 3 or 4 for Alivia and chop them into pea sized bites (except today the only one she ate was the one I left whole).
Yoplait yogurt cups (thought slightly more expensive) are shaped in a way that forces them to pull the spoon straight out rather than scooping. I find them to be less messy.
Scrambled eggs and toast are a perfectly acceptable dinner food, in my opinion. We eat them often.
Those are all my bright ideas. I'll be checking back to see what other people say.
http://www.girlydohairstyles.com/ is a great website for little girl hair dos. Your daughter's hair isn't quite as long, but some of the things can be improvised. You may have to dig. We used to do inside out ponytails all the time.
I'm having the same problem finding stuff for my Emma. I've been giving her easy mac, ramen (with just a little bit of the seasoning), pudding, applesauce, peanut butter sandwiches, and crackers, she loves crackers. Sorry no advice on the hair, I don't know what to do either. Good luck!
I love Emma's hair. The pic of it sticking straight up is so cute! It is hard too to figure out what to feed kids. Justus always wants to feed himself so I have to find stuff that he can pick up and not make too big of a mess. He loves goldfish, little apple pieces and bananas. That is a lot of what I give him.
