Time for a Check-Up

We added the girls onto our dental insurance plan this year, decided it was time to take them.  Last night/this morning all three kids had nasty colds.  Luckily my friend who was awesome and watched Briggs for me on short notice has a little boy with the same nasty cold, so that worked out great.

Even thought they weren't feeling the best, the girls were GREAT.  I can't imagine their first appointments going more smoothly than they did.

Maddie somehow drew the short straw and went first.  The hygienist was very kid-friendly, and talked her through every single step, from the gloves she wore, testing out the chair, feeling the different tools before she used them and just being overall perfect.  Maddie patiently did every single thing she was asked, and her cleaning went very fast.  No cavities, either. :)

Emma was more than happy to go next after watching Maddie make it look so easy.  She wasn't a fan of the water being sprayed in her mouth.  She was still cooperative, just made some hilarious faces.  No cavities for her, either.

After they had their cleanings, they both sat in the chair to watch TV.  I snapped this picture while they were intently watching Dora.  When the Dentist came in, he just did their check-up while they sat in the chair together.  It was very sweet.  Glad to have that over with and have it go so smoothly!
